The “OOO” Corporate Form

An “OOO” is the most common business structure used in Belarus for privately held companies. It is comparable to a LLC (Limited Liability Company) in the United States, or the Ltd. in the United Kingdom. Other equivalent forms include:

• Ltda. in Brazil
• Pty Ltd. in South Africa
• SRL in Mexico
• S.R.O. in Czech Republic
• GmbH in Germany
• SARL in France

All of these structures share a basic principle: the company has its own legal identity, and the liability of its founders or shareholders is limited to their contribution to the company.

Although our official legal suffix is “OOO,” in practice, it is common for international partners to refer to us with different equivalents—such as “Avori, LLC” or “Avori, Ltd.” This has never posed any legal complications in our work with clients and partners across the globe.

Legal Environment for IT Companies in Belarus

Belarus has a defined and stable legal system for operating technology businesses, including software development, IT services, and digital solutions. Companies like Avori operate under a general legal framework that supports entrepreneurship, cross-border collaboration, and digital workflows.
